Ways to Streamline Metadata Upload Forms Hide metadata fields that are not needed Add fields that other universities may not need E.g., Creative Commons licenses, peer reviewed Y/N, embargo period, scholarship domains, etc. Tailor fields and their options to doc type E.g., ETD’s need mentor name fields; others don’t Use dropdown lists to pick options when possible Make the most-often-chosen option into the readily visible default option ETD’s = Electronic Theses and Dissertations Scholarship domains: Ernest Boyer

Questions: What customizations to your metadata upload forms have you implemented that were helpful? How many of you regularly use the bulk upload process? The bulk revise upload form can’t do everything that it should, like correct thumbnails that don’t show. Do you use it?
