Hawk time Community Door decorating

After creating individual quilt block squares that represent the individuals – each student – we want to design and create a door decoration that represents the class This class as our hawk time community

how could our door represent community? What is community? how could our door represent community? Maybe the door merely represents what community means, let the kids decide

What do we belong to or have interest in that brings us together? Students Teachers Administrators Associates Other staff who help students Grade levels Homeroom Basketball Junior National Honors Society Helping others People are here to learn People are here to teach Some teachers teach …. (Curriculum) Kids that like to skateboard Kids that like to play video games Kids who like to read – book club These ideas could be what drives the door decoartion

Plan Brainstorm Determine materials needed Paper Markers Glue Scissors Organize roles – everyone participates Execute It is important that this be facilitated, there is little time, EVERYONE needs a role big or small, make sure that everyone does = COMMUNITY together
