Properties of lenses

Learning goals We are learning to the types of lenses. We are learning to find images in lenses.

1. Converging lenses Lens that is thickest in middle Causes light rays that are parallel to PA to converge, or meet at one point called the principal focus (F)

2. Diverging lens Thinnest in middle Causes parallel light rays to diverge, or spread apart

Emergent ray light ray that leaves lens after refraction

Learning goals We are learning to the types of lenses. We are learning to find images in lenses.
