Part 1 “There Was No Room For Them In the Inn”

Nazareth to Bethlehem 80 miles

They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin. (Ez 7:19 ) Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. (Ja 5:1-3) "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more--  cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; (Rev 18:11-12)

“6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” (Is 53:3)

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:3)

Part 2 “Good News of Great Joy”

“8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

“11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”

“When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,” (17)

“20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” (20)
