About myself! Vivek Venkataraman Mechanical Engineering, 4th year IIT Madras Hobbies: Running, Cycling, Singing and Skiing (recently)

Why Russia!? All that the general Indian knows about Russian people, are that they drink Vodka, and it snows a lot here. Purpose of visit: To immerse myself in a culture that I knew nothing about. ( also to learn cooking :P) First impression: Sun rise at 8.30 AM??! Cold! Language barrier! What I love about Tomsk: Leisurely life 

My city: Chennai (Madras)

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) Heart of the city! Lush green forest, home to endangered animals and plants 10000 students, 600 faculty members Insti ( The name given to IITM by its students! )

Life @ IITM Great academics ( Recently acknowledged as No.1 univ in India by MHRD) Ipals (similar to buddy building club) Everyone speaks English!! IITM- City within a city. Peaceful, away from all the noise of the city Cycle cycle everywhere!
