Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre - Expected results and performance indicators -

In a similar manner to the objectives, the anticipated results of ALAC are defined by making reference to the project's pillars and to the institutional development of the implementing organization

It is necessary to specify the estimated effect of the project on: the citizens – in their position as actual or potential victims and witnesses to acts of corruption, respectively as beneficiaries of legal advice and education activities the competent authorities of investigation and punishment of corruption – in their position as beneficiaries of monitoring actions the decision makers in the fields of good government and anti-corruption policies – in their position as beneficiaries of some advocacy actions, from the perspective of using corruption complaints in order to increase the integrity levels of the public sector the implementing organization and the project team – in their position as project implementers.

At each of the above-mentioned groups level, the project aims at bringing the following changes: the citizens – as a result of the legal advice and education offers – it is desired an increase in their capacity to identify cases of corruption and to reject them using current legal instruments and institutions the competent authorities of investigation and punishment of corruption – as a result of education and monitoring actions – it is desired an increase in their capacity to select corruption complaints and process them in conditions of transparency, promptness &c

the decision makers in the fields of good government and anti-corruption policies – as a result of advocacy actions – it is wanted their exposure to reform proposals regarding policy, legislation, anti-corruption institutions and the partial transposition of these proposals into public policies the implementing organization and the project team – it is desired to enhance their capacity for research, advocacy, education and raising sensitivity of the public opinion, as well as an increase in the quality of the services they offer directly to the citizens affected by corruption.
