Writing Format Paragraph #1 Paragraph #2 Paragraph #3 Paragraph #4 Introduce the main character(s) Show who is the protagonist & antagonist. Paragraph #2 Describe the conflict the character faces. Have action or dialogue to show struggle. Paragraph #3 Relate the events and changes the character goes through. Relate this to the result of the conflict. Paragraph #4 Present the final change or new understanding. Show the significance of the events.
Narrative Writing A narrative is used to reflect upon a life lesson you have been taught through an experience or story from your life. Great Narratives contain suspense, great characters, well played dialogue, imagery, and will maintain a consistent tone and point of view.
Paragraph #1: Introduction Identify the main setting for the story. Exposition and setting (show the reader where the story takes place. Introduce character(s) Who they are What they look like Significance to the story Clearly show who is the Protagonist and the Antagonist.
Paragraph #2-3: Body Paragraphs Introduce a problem or conflict(s) between forces. Have action and dialogue that shows what the characters deal with. Build suspense to the climax and make it exciting. Discuss the changes the characters go through.
Paragraph #4: Conclusion Present the final character(s) change and the new understanding of something. Must show the significance of the event. What did you learn because of this event? How can this help others in the future?
