Energised by the Spirit we risk together for Mission Listeners Group

What we have seen and heard felt with our hearts…

A burning desire… to open our minds and hearts to allow the Gospel to master us to let go of FEAR and timidity to rediscover that the MISSION belongs to God – the call is to liberation to trust in the Faithfulness of God throughout the journey to be God’s Presence in our community and world

TO Dare to risk… A burning desire… to free God, our congregation and ourselves from anything that “CAGES” us and prevents us from speaking out and denouncing injustices… to do new things, have a new mindset/paradigm shift

A burning desire… The Word INTEGRATION was used 11 times in our first session… Integration of life and spirituality Integration of justice and peace, mission and spirituality Integration of sisters among themselves and with mission partners

A burning desire… As a congregation dare we risk to take INCLUSION seriously? Believe that - Discipleship is open to everyone and is radically inclusive Universal discipleship and inclusive leadership are the marks of the covenant community established by Jesus

A Burning desire… Dare we… denounce injustice… There are only two choices when faced with injustice - - Do something or Collude by our silence and non action Dare we… act like the Good Shepherd and risk speaking out against our Political and Church leaders ? More radical than gentle Shepherd image! Dare we… risk our reputation for the sake of justice ? Dare we…embrace the Gandhian and feminine way of non violence through non co-operation To

A Burning desire… For the Jesus model of service - mutual self-giving love (covenant/friendship model) rather than that of Peter – (dependence, inequality and domination) Dare we risk participation in the mission of Jesus – to transform sinful structures of domination, inequality and dependence? Dare we risk being agents of social change? Dare we risk real meaningful net-working and partnership?

Recurring ideas… Inclusion Partnership and Networking Collaboration Integration Daring Risking Faithfulness and trust Non violence Presence – revealing God Justice and peace Covenant friendship/partnership Courage Audacity Creativity Speaking and Denouncing Reconciliation Liberation Agents of Social change Domination and Inequality Equality and interdependence Integrity of creation The Mission belongs to God
