24 of May is the Day of the Bulgarian education and culture, and the Slavonic alphabet

On this day in Bulgaria is celebrated Bulgarian education, culture and the creation of the Glagolic alphabet of Cyril and Methodius, Known also as “The Thessalonica's brothers

The earliest data to mark the 11 May as the day of the Holy Apostles and Slavonic Educators Cyril and Methodius date back to the XII century, As they are recognized as saints yet at the end of IX century.

The Song of Cyril and Methodius In 1892 Stoyan Mihailovski writes the text of whole school anthem, well known in every Bulgarian with its first verse "March Ahead, Revived People" The anthem is entitled ”he Amthem of the Saints Cyril and Methodius” Panayot Pipkov creates in 05.11.1900. the music for the anthem.

The book is the sun of knowledge and science, the most valuable thing for one person.
