What is Title I? Being a Title I school means receiving federal funding (Title I dollars) to supplement the school’s existing programs. These dollars are used for… Identifying students experiencing academic difficulties and providing timely assistance to help these student’s meet the State’s challenging content standards. Mimosa is a School Wide Title I Program Back to School literature included detailed information regarding Title 1 status and can be found in the office and in the Parent Resource room. Poverty Rate : 40% or more of our population receives free and reduced lunch which makes us eligible for federal grant money under the No Child Left Behind Act, now called ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) Mimosa is 93% Free and Reduced lunch
