Direct Reports almost always have the greatest range of scores in a single behaviour (despite only x responding to survey) Others category always scoring lowest on scale No range score form Direct Reports in Leadership Quality X Others category not lowest scoring in Leadership Quality Y Between Self score and Manager score Perhaps reluctant to be seen to score high? Confidence to score Self at the top of the scale? Consistency of relationship? Am I working effectively with, and through, each Direct Report? I have better relationships with some more than others – why? Others category: how often do I have contact with them? Are they in a strong position to be able to provide accurate and balanced feedback? I spend a lot of time coaching my team specifically in this area Others see the output of my efforts in this area, not necessarily what I do each day to achieve these outputs.

ACHIEVING RESULTS Managing performance of all individuals in team Ensure each team member has monthly targets linked to Regional Scorecard Mix of achievable and stretch targets Monthly 1:1s with me – led by each of them On-going development plan for each person focused on their next role OR excellence in this one Set-up Peer Coaching so team can support one another Me. Set out expectations at next 1:1 Ditto Ask PA to put in diary for rest of year Ask for assistance/guidance from HR on best practice Build into my own performance objectives Ditto Check against diary 1:1s with each team member Informal review with coaching pairs each month By end of this month Ditto Start this month and continue Set up this month and monitor usefulness in my monthly 1:1s
