February 20, 2012 Monday

Film Appreciation: Feb. 20, 2012 Today I will predict the ending for the movie Gidget and answer some questions about the film. (The questions are on the next slide.) I will have 45 minutes to write the answers to the questions. If I finish, I may read a book or work on homework for another class, but I will not sleep. After we are done with the paper, we will watch the end of Gidget and discuss if we made correct predictions about the movie.

Film Appreciation – Feb. 20, 2012 Write down five important points that tell the story of the movie Gidget. Based on what you have seen in this movie, I want you to predict the ending for the movie. Francie or Gidget is sitting on her bed waiting for a date with Mr. Mathew’s son. The summer is almost over. How do you think the writer is going to finish the story? What will happen to the following characters: Moondoggie, Gidget, and The Big Kahuna? Use complete sentences and explain your answers. Turn in your paper before you watch the movie today.

Drama – February 20, 2012 Today I will finish watching Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. In this I am to be looking for how Jim Carey plays so many different characters. I am to write about each character (costume, setting, voice, character, etc.) and include the name for each character. Pay careful attention to details that make the character believable. USE COMPLETE SENTENCES AND CORRECT GRAMMAR

Art 1 – February 20, 2012 The first students in class must set out the acrylic paints and get the plastic tub with the ceramic ornaments. Today I will paint using acrylics. I will finish an ornament that I have. If I finish the ornament, than I will choose another one from the basket and paint it. At 12:18 students must start cleaning up. (The paint can be left on the front table, because students will use it during 5th period.)

3D Art – February 20, 2012 Today I will paint using acrylics. I will finish the ceramic piece that I have. If I finish the piece than I will choose a ceramic ornament from the container and paint it. (Make sure and wash the ornament before you paint it.) Begin clean up at 1:40pm. Students need to clear away the paint, wash their tables with the blue or green spray, and stack their chairs. Students are to wait at their seats until the bell rings.
