STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Origins of the Stations: 4th Century Jerusalem

P] In the still of this hour,          we come to find rest for our hearts and contentment for our minds. C] We are caught up in the activity of our life          and need to pause and be refreshed. P] In the quiet of this place,       we come to touch the forgiving grace of God in the bread and the wine. C] We praise you, God, for your heavenly food given in love for us.

We give you thanks, almighty God, that you have refreshed us through the healing power of this gift of life; and we pray that in your mercy you would strengthen us, through this gift, in faith toward you and in fervent love toward one another; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen
