Think about the things you do every day. They say we spend 95% of our lives in uneventful moments, but we only document the most eventful parts of our lives. Such as: Birthdays Graduations Weddings As artists we have the opportunity to make these ordinary moments extraordinary. Think about the things you do every day.
Write a timeline of what you do throughout the day. Example. 6:00 am Take A Shower 6:15 am Brush My Teeth 6:17 am Blow Dry My Hair Ect.
Objective: Pick a task from your timeline that can be visually interesting. Think about composition and what you are trying to get across to the viewer. Use a person in your group to model the action. Make a sketch to prepare for your final piece.
What is the figure doing?

Artemisia Gentileschi Self-Portrait as the Allegory of Painting (~1630) “Her posturing in the piece, with her raised chin, and the dynamics of showing herself deeply focused on the act of painting convey a sense of pride- and in addition to that, underscore the idea that she is an artist at work.” http://employees.oneonta.edu/farberas/arth/arth200/artist/cons_fem_art_id.htm
Does this portrait portray the way others see her or the way she sees herself?
