Why We Don’t Have An Issue Radon Industry Licensing Act – 420 ILCS 44 (420 ILCS 44/40) Sec. 40. Interference. No person shall interfere with or cause another person to interfere with the successful completion of a radon measurement or the installation or operation of a radon mitigation system. Applying the Rule What Associations CAN Do: Specify a location on the building the system must run up Specify that it must be an interior system Allow for a chase to be built to conceal the exterior pipe system What Associations CANNOT Do: Decide a mitigation system cannot be installed in a building Decide a measurement cannot be performed in a building
