Welcome to Legacy High School! Founded in 2000 Go Lightning! State champions in recent years in marching band, softball, girls’ basketball, and wrestling Tons of clubs and activities! Try to get involved with one of the groups!

Welcome to EGE! How does this class work?!?! English Government/Economics Awesome combination! Two classes, two hours, two teachers Where do I go? B205/B207 every day The Goal: Teach English and Social Studies together! 

How to Succeed in EGE Be Respectful Arrive On time Come Prepared People Classroom Content Arrive On time Tardies will harm you! Come Prepared Bring your binder and pen/pencil Be ready to learn 

Day-to-Day Routines Starting Class Attendance Opening Activity Be in your chair when the bell rings We use seating charts to take attendance… Opening Activity Jumpstarts thinking Used for review Helps you prepare for class

Day-to-Day Routines During Class Two Non-Negotiables No racist or homophobic slurs. Ever. No violence or rough-housing. Ever. If you make the choice to violate a non-negotiable, you will be sent out of the classroom immediately Possible referral or suspension Smaller Infractions… Food/Drinks Trash Long bathroom breaks

Phone Policy Do not have your phone out in class. We will take it. KFC Bucket = Keep For Class  “Give it to the Colonel.” If it happens more than a few times, it goes to the Dean’s Office If there is an emergency or you need to call/text home, ask us and you can step into the hall We will rarely allow you to listen to music, but it might happen occasionally

Technology in Our Classroom We will use computer labs on a regular basis Chromebooks and laptops will be used more often Treat all school tech with patience and respect Chat with us about laptops/iPads
