What are charities and organizations? Charities are a type of non-profit organization which means that they use the surplus of money they earn to help people by using that money to buy supplies and stuff they need to survive instead of using that money to pay profits and their employees. For an example: The African Wildlife Foundation is a type of charity. Organizations are a group of people who ask for donations for a specific purpose. For an example: The American Red Cross is an Organization. Today I will talk about the American Red Cross Organization.

What is the American red cross? The American Red Cross is an organization that has supporters, volunteers, and employees that help and provide care to people who are in need that are probably experienced a disaster and has many ruins and injuries, support their loved one that are in the military, blood donations and processing, international reliefs and development, and health and safety education and training for people who want to help others in the American Red Cross. People who suffered disasters like the people who experienced Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines had nothing left to help them live, no home, no food, they had nothing.
