Paper 2: Section B style exam question (8 marks) Use Source 8 (textbook p.52) and your own knowledge to describe racism and intolerance in American society during the 1920s. The key to answering this question is to start with making inferences from the source in order to describe racism (you will also need to refer to the provenance here). In the same paragraph, build on your source inferences by using your own knowledge to describe racism and the KKK in American society. In your next paragraph, go onto describe, using your own knowledge, other examples of intolerance in American society. Refer to intolerance surrounding immigration, the ‘Red Scare’ and Sacco and Vanzetti.
