The Importance of Studying History How can understanding history help us accomplish goals and make significant contributions to our colleges and universities? When we talk about “history” in this context, what do we include?

Writing Research and Citation What kinds of writing do professionals in higher education do? Who are the audiences for these pieces of writing? How important is it that people with different jobs in academia-faculty, administrators, and student affairs staff-have outstanding academic writing skills?
