For our Hanaukah party we decided to make menorahs out of recyclable materials. Each class in our school made a Menorah and we showed them in a great exhibit at our school. The children went on a nature walk to gather branches, sticks, acorns, leaves, and even dirt! The more the better! The children enjoyed finding and picking everything that they saw on the ground! They loved putting it all in the bucket. After our nature walk, we gathered all of our "recyclable“ items for our Chanukiah. We used a tree branch for the base, used mini plastic bottles, used beer bottle caps, and used miniature flower pots. The children all worked very hard on putting the collectables from our nature walk into the mini plastic bottles! הילדים יצאו לטבע לאסוף ענפים , מקלות, אצטרובלים, עלים ואשפה וכל המרבה הרי זה משובח !הילדים מאוד נהנו לאסוף את שמצאו בחוץ ולשים זאת בשקית שקיבלו. לאחר הטיול בטבע, הילדים אספו את כל החומרים שמהם אפשר לבנות חנוכייה:הם השתמשו בענף של עץ כבסיס לחנוכייה, בקבוקים קטנים מפלסטיק פקקים של בקבוקי בירה ואגרטלים קטנים ועוד. הילדים מלאו את הבקבוקונים בכל מה שמצאו בטבע ונכנס לבקבוק.

The children glued pieces of blue tissue paper to a tissue box for the base of the menorah. We painted wooden tubes from clothes hangers with glittered paint to represent candles. Then the children twisted pipe cleaners around each candle. הילדים הדביקו טישו כחול על קופסת הטישו הריקה ששמשה בסיס לחנוכייה.הם צבעו חתיכות עץ מקולבים ישנים בצבע זוהר ויצרו נרות. על הנרות לפפו הילדים מנקי מקטרות.

This Hanukiah, made by the Pig, Mouse & Moose class is inspired by the Tree of Life. Recycled materials used include; paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, large Popsicle sticks, vines and leaves from the Gan Shalom and an empty Clementine box. חנוכייה זו נוצרה בהשראת עץ החיים החומרים הממוחזרים בחנוכייה זו כוללים: גלילי נייר טואלט גלילי נייר מגבות, מקלות ארטיק גדולים עלים יבשים מגן שלום וקופסת מנדרינות ריקה

The Giving Tree friends – because they are the giving tree class they decided that they wanted to give a holiday gift to those in need. After the party, these canned foods will be donated to the Texas food bank חברי העץ הנדיב- מכיוון ששם הכיתה הוא "העץ הנדיב" הם החליטו לתת מתנת חג לנצרכים. לאחר חגיגת חנוכה שימורי המזון ייתרמו למרכז חלוקת המזון בדאלאס
