Assessment Following a framework called KLIPS KLIPS is based on age related expectations for year groups These help us judge whether your child is WORKING TOWARDS, IN LINE or EXCEEDING aged related expectation These are not national expectations (levels!)

Expectations New National Curriculum in 2014 for Years 1, 3, 4, and 5 All years groups(Y1 – Y6) now following the new curriculum Expectations have been INCREASED This may affect how your child is seen in terms of age-related expectations. Previously high ability now might just be in line This is the same for all school

Progress We are continuing to track progress as we have always done We will still be delivering interventions Children will be properly supported We will identify those that need support and extending

KLIPS A copy stuck in writing and maths books This will be highlighted over the year Achievement in reading will also be recorded using KLIPS We have begun to moderate in school and with other schools in order to accurately assess each child.
