Compassion Sunday Ties in well with 2 Corinthians 8-9 Most extensive teaching on church age giving found in the NT. Focuses on Paul’s collection for needy saints in Jerusalem (due to persecution, heavy taxation, and worldwide famine) Most NT teaching on giving is focused on giving to help those in need.
