About AiPT Workforce: 119 in total 23 academic staff One of the largest photonics research centres in the UK, with 100+ staff and grant funding of almost €20m. We have a strong record of training post-docs and PhD students, with a 99% PhD degree award rate. Inaugurated as the Institute in 2012 Celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016 Workforce: 119 in total 23 academic staff 51 research fellows 14 Marie-Curie fellows 24 research students 7 support staff Numbers have doubled in 3 years. 1200m2 new laboratory space in planning Experimental work takes place in ~30 laboratories
