Toastmasters in Your Organization [Your Name Here]

What is Toastmasters? Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of people become more confident in front of an audience. Our membership is 332,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,400 clubs and the 135 countries where Toastmasters has a presence. <ADVANCE TO NEXT SLIDE> Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development.

How the Program Works Leading Meetings Prepared Speeches As members, you would attend regularly scheduled club meetings. The environment is to be friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows anyone to build confidence with each speaking assignment. Constructive evaluation is the heart of the Toastmasters program. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator (one of you) will point out strengths and suggest improvements. <ADVANCE TO NEXT SLIDE> Leading Meetings Impromptu Speeches Prepared Speeches Constructive Evaluation

Education Program Experiential Learning Self-paced Program The education program is an important part of every Toastmaster's journey and is a critical aspect of every club meeting around the world. The Toastmasters Education Program is based on a proven curriculum that enables you to develop communication and leadership skills one step at a time. The program is built on four guiding principles that have been in place since Toastmasters was founded in 1924:   Experiential Learning–we learn by doing; by giving speeches and fulfilling leadership roles, we practice and improve Self-paced Program–we learn best at our own pace and comfort level Peer Feedback–through honest and supportive peer evaluation, we grow and improve Mentoring–experienced members encourage, guide and support us in our goals and help us to achieve more than we thought possible There are many opportunities for awards and recognition along the way. <ADVANCE TO NEXT SLIDE> Peer Feedback Mentoring Corporate Marketing Presentation Rebrand bp FINAL

“Toastmasters has empowered me by giving me the right tools to grow personally and professionally.” – Rhea Usman (member since 2011) Rhea goes on to say, “Remarkably, by becoming a better communicator, I have become a better leader. My manager at work recognized my new communication and leadership skills, which earned me new opportunities in my career.” <ADVANCE TO NEXT SLIDE>

The world needs leaders The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback—and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership. Join your organization’s Toastmasters club and find YOUR path to leadership. <ADVANCE TO NEXT SLIDE> Corporate Marketing Presentation Rebrand bp FINAL
