2nd Grade News Reminders: New Words: What We’re Learning: 11/11/16 This week has been all about Social Studies and Vocations Week. We learned all about religious vocations, from priests to the pope, and from deacons to nuns. We did a fun activity on priests and have hung our work out on display. On Tuesday we voted in the school election. We had to show the election officials our voter’s registration cards before we could vote. We also talked about our veterans and why they are our heroes. We wrote thank you letters to them and have practiced for our program. In English we learned about blending consonants r,l, and s, and we talked about story structure. In Math we pushed on working on number sentences. In science, we studies minerals.
