OFFICE STAFF

1. The diocesan youth ministry office has an adequate number of paid full-time staff.   2. The diocesan youth ministry has an employment manual.

3. The employment manual of the diocesan youth ministry complies with the human resource policies of the diocese.   4. The diocesan youth ministry office has a feedback mechanism for the performance of the staff.

5. There is a culture of cooperation and mutual respect among the council, staff and volunteers.

6. The diocesan youth ministry council holds staff meetings to:   (a) keep staff informed and motivated; (b) invite creative input and discussion;

(c) explain major internal and external events relevant to youth ministry; (d) deepen staff members' understanding of the broad goals of youth ministry;

(e) build a sense of staff appreciation.

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

1. The diocesan youth ministry has a volunteer recruitment plan. 2 1. The diocesan youth ministry has a volunteer recruitment plan.   2. The diocesan youth ministry office staff learn about each volunteer’s skills and interests and determine how these might help the youth ministry.

5. The diocesan youth ministry council gives due recognition to its volunteers.   6. The diocesan youth ministry council has an integral program to help volunteers in their formation as youth ministers.
