IMPACT OF IMPERIALISM I AM POWERFUL!! AIM: How did the Age of Imperialism have both positive and negative effects? DO NOW: Consider how it would feel to have your country taken over by another nation. What would be the hardest thing to give up?

vocabulary Industrial nation: a nation that has a high level of development; technology. Colony: A country or area under the full or partial political control of another country. Influence: effect - hold - impact - authority Sphere of Influence: the geographical area in which one nation is very influential. (has a big effect)

How can we use our vocabulary in a sentence? Identify two of your vocabulary words. Construct a full sentence for each word based on the Imperialism Unit and your knowledge of social studies. Example: Great Britain was the first nation to become an industrial nation.
