Side-Note: SURFnet NOC SURFnet has always outsourced their NOC: SURFnet 1-5: SARA SURFnet 6: Telindus & SARA SURFnet 7: Telindus & Vancis SURFsara is no longer involved in SURFnet operations.

Recent Changes SURFsara New AS number: AS1162 (Vancis retains AS1126) Teamleader Networking Group since 1 February: Freek Dijkstra

LHCONE operations NL-T1 – LHCONE: upgrade from 1 Gb/s to 10 Gb/s. We waited

LHCONE Traffic 30%-40% of the outgoing traffic on our uplink is LHCONE related.

LHCONE innovation Not (yet) involved in LHCONE innovation NL-T1 is no longer working on TRILL/802.1aq after Ronald van der Pol left for SURFnet (dec 2012). We’re still interested, though. Involved in NSI innovation elsewhere: Freek is chair of NML (standardisation of network topology description). We will publish NML/NSI-compatible topology of our (production) network. Presentation at Glif, during Terena, Maastricht 2013: http://www.glif.is/meetings/2013/summer/dijkstra-nml.pdf We have written an OpenNSA client (2010). Sander Boele is changing this to a NSI client. We waited
