MORTER-PRIMER (Bituminous Primer)

USE PACKING CAUTION DESCRIPTION PROPERTIES APPLICATION MORTER-PRIMER for waterproofing and moisture-proofing is a liquid bitumen with a proper viscosity that can be applied on the surface of concrete, cement mortar, steel pipe and etc. It is produced by compounding bitumen with rapid-volatile solvent. Therefore, it is used for under-laying liquid and makes adhesive strong to waterproofing layer by forming membrane on the ground. Test Item SPEC. Test Method Flash Point(Tag close cup, ℃) ≥42 ASTM D 56 Specific Gravity ≥0.930 ASTM D 70 VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds, g/L) Below 350 - Saybolt Furol Viscosity(25℃, sec) 160±10 ASTM D 88 Distillation Up to 225℃ ≥25 ASTM D 402 (Volume % of the primer) Up to 360℃ Below 40 Test of residue from Distillation Penetration (25℃, 100g, 5sec) 100-120 ASTM D 5 (up to 360℃) Solubility of Trichloroethylene ≥99.0 ASTM D 2042 USE MORTER-PRIMER is suitable for concrete, smooth asphalt roofs and metal surfaces, and used as the prime coat prior to installation of any MORTER-PLAS membrane Under layer coating in waterproof and moisture-proof construction Under layer coating for anti-corrosion of metal and protective layer Preservation of timber against decay PACKING 20 Liter / Pail 200 Liter / Drum CAUTION Put it away from fire when keeping or handling it because it is inflammable Work in a ventilated place because the gas comes out when you apply it Keep it sealed perfectly because it evaporates if it is exposed to air for a long time When the work finished, keep the tools after washing with solvent APPLICATION Dry surface up thoroughly Remove impurities completely such as projecting part, residual, oil scale, rust and etc Coat it with primer using roller or spray after surface treatment Coating amount is changeable according to ground level. Refer to below : Concrete Tough Mortar Sliding Mortar Metal Timber Usage (ℓ/㎡) ≥0.4 ≥0.2 ≥0.1 ≥0.3 Applied primer should be dried until its stickiness worn away. Re-apply with primer if 24 hours passed after first coating and there are dusts or sands on its surface
