What is a Penguin??

Penguins are birds that live in the water and on land. They cannot fly, but they are excellent swimmers. They have webbed feet and short wings, which they use for swimming.

Can a Penguin Fly??

Penguins "Fly" only under water. Penguins propel themselves through the water with flying movements of their flippers. Penguins are heavy so they can swim and dive for food. A penguins wings are paddle like flippers. Their legs and webbed feet are used as rudders, for steering.

Where do Penguins live?? Do they live in the North Pole??

No Penguins live in the North Pole! All penguins live in the southern half of the earth. They are found in the South Pole, New Zealand, southern Australia, South Africa, and along the coast of South America.
