Teaching Aims: Learn about some scientific facts by doing a small science quiz. Train the students’ listening and speaking abilities. Learn and master the following:

(1)New words: Jules Verne, league, distance, balloon, bulb, fiction. (2)Everyday English: I believe/ suppose/doubt… I’m sure that… I’m (not) certain… I can’t imagine… It could be…but… It’s likely that… I can’t believe my eyes.
