Nov. 9-Nov. 13 Veterans Day Exhibit and Meet and Greet Students will be able to visit an exhibit displaying veteran’s regalia and talk to veterans from our community. They will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A presented by veterans. Nov 3 Pan Dulce with Abuelitos Activities: Invite family members to share the breakfast and a story. To promote literacy with the family, grandparents (parents) are invited to have sweet bread and coffee as they listen to their children read a story. 7:15-8:00 AM. Nov 8 Games Day @ Your Library Activities: Students will be invited to play board and video games at the library. To focus on the social and recreational side of our students, the library will encourage patrons of all ages to interact with diverse peers, share their expertise and develop new strategies for gaming and learning. Nov 20 –Nov 30 Fall Reading Challenge Activities: Students will be challenged to read during their Holiday Break. Students will choose to complete different tasks tied to reading. After they complete the challenge they will get a certificate and a prize.

Celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors originated from the American Indian Community.  Nov. 13-17 World Kindness Day Activity: Provide cards and writing utensils for students to write kind messages to their teacher or another classmate Celebrate student’s creativity. Copies of Design pumpkin pictures will be provided for students to color or design and then be brought into the library to display. Ongoing Guessing Jar   Activity: Estimation game for all students to participate. Just for fun: A jar with goodies is displayed in the library monthly and carries on a holiday theme. Students are allowed to guess how many candies are in the jar. At the end of the month (November 17), the student with the correct or closest amount wins the jar with the goodies. Nov.10 Gaming in the library Activity: Students who have met or exceeded their AR goals come for gaming day. Gaming in the library is for student who have met or exceeded the District Goal for the 2nd six weeks. They come during their designated time to compete in board games, video games and create at a variety of maker space projects.
