Play Nice! Using Google and Microsoft together in the classroom Presented by: Andrea Marzano & Sue Hopp

Welcome Let’s all get along! It would be irresponsible for us to proclaim ourselves solely users of Google or Microsoft. It is advantageous to introduce our students to both forums creating learners that are more innovative and successful users of technology.

Using Microsoft and Google Google Classroom: a forum to post links and/or information and share Google Forms, Docs, links with ease   Incorporate Google Docs, Slides and the Google store for add-ons and apps Microsoft OneNote-Notebooks, an interactive notebook Use Microsoft Word, Power Point and Microsoft tools Print Google Docs or from Google on the Web into the  OneNote-Notebooks as notes

Using Google Classroom: Purpose: Share links Give exemplars Assign worksheets Individualize instruction Post videos

Google Docs and Forms Writers can be monitored for ALL edits. Documents can be shared with teacher, or students for collaboration with the ability to edit, comment or just read. Assessments or activities can be completed in forms with instant feedback to both student and teacher. This can be modified to be shared with or without grades!

The Google Cloud

Google Add-Ons (Just a few)

Video Notes

Microsoft OneNote

Microsoft Cloud

Two Microsoft Apps (that are Useful Every Day) Voice recording Snipping Tool
