Thomas Paine An English born revolutionary who came to America in 1774. He was a Enlightenment era philosopher who believed in the ideas of liberty and equality.

Valley Forge Skit Skit will be set in the spring of 1778. Skit needs to last at least two minutes and everyone must speak. One student must be George Washington and von Steuben. The other students can be soldiers. The skit needs to cover how they felt about the hardships they faced (smallpox, cold, lack of food, lack of clothing, etc.), the training they went through, why they decided to stay, and how things have changed since the beginning of the winter
