Science Notebook Setup Procedures 7th Grade Science Mr. Lyijynen

Procedures: Step 1: On the front cover of your notebook, write your first & last name, science period, and the title of the class, 7th Grade Science. Step 2: Inside the front cover of your science notebook, tape the mini PDSA Data Sheet given by Mr. L. Only tape the top! Then write DATA above on the inside cover page. On the data sheet, write the title of the unit, SLO (Strategic Learning Objective).

Procedures (continued): Step 3: Label the first notebook page (front and back), Table of Contents. Create a space for the Date and Page numbers, as shown.

Procedures (continued): Step 4: Go to the last 2 pages of your notebook. Label these pages Index. Create 6 boxes on each of the pages. The 6 boxes should fill the rest of the page. On the first index page, label the first box A, the second box B, then C,D,E, and F. The second index page (other side of first) should include G,H,I,J,K,L. The third index page should include M,N,O,P,Q,R. The last index page will include S,T,U-V,W-X,Y-Z. You’ll have one box left over! Look at next slide for an example.
