FIG. S1. Effects of pre-treatment of tomato plants with a phage mixture on wilting caused by R. solanacearum. One-month old tomato plants (2023 cm in height) pretreated with tap water (A, control), a mixture of three phages (RSA1, RSB1, and RSL1) (B), or a mixture of two phages (RSA1 and RSB1) were inoculated with R. solanacearum cells as described in the Materials and Methods. Wilting symptoms were graded from 05; 0, no symptom; 1, only one petiole was wilting; 2, 23 petioles were wilting; 3, all but 23 petioles were wilting; 4, all petioles were wilting; 5, the plant died.
