Description of the Organization Mission:   Our mission is to construct a fairer and unified society by means of integral promotion of impoverished and marginalized individuals and groups. We wish to carry out this work through the development processes of both the individual and collective groups, which is based on close relationships, solidarity, and efficient service. We would like to propose involvement with the youth, and put into action, together with other individuals and organizations, social action, and education programmes, and development cooperation. 2014 Vision The Adsis Foundation is an organization that has deepened and fulfilled the development of their mission, being distinguished for their work with the youth and has put into action partnerships of people with high standards of performance. In that affect, lead actors have joined Adsis, and have helped Adsis revise and improve the Foundation’s projects, to generate a major social impact, and strengthen the application of the Foundation’s social center, especially the involvement of volunteers.

History The Adsis Foundation was created in 1996 through the Movement of Adsis communities, belonging to a Christian lifestyle and a commitment to the poor that has developed over the last 60 years. Adsis exists with the aim to improve the Foundation’s presence and performance, in facing situations of injustice, poverty, and exclusion. Adsis is an organization that is open to the participation of those individuals whom have diverse ideas and beliefs, and identify themselves and commit themselves to their mission and values. Development Programmes: The Foundation carries out its work through the following programmes: (http://www.fundacionadsis.org/es/page.asp?id=3): Socioeducational Intervention and Labour Insertion with Young People. Thanks to schools collaboration and working in the streets, we find and help teenagers and young peole that have serious social and educational problems. Their future depends on new opportunities. We work inside and outside prision with personal development programmes. We deal with drug addiction and open regime experiencies in order to help them rejoin society. Their future means to start again.

History Support for Inmigrant Citizenship. The people who just arrived need a special assistance, so we help them find a job and we advise them about legal issues and social integration. Their future is their present. Education and Values. Young people are the future, so we want them to have social values such as solidarity and fairness. Voluntariado. El voluntariado Adsis recibe formación periódica en torno a cuestiones sociales generales, educación en valores, etc., así como formación específica sobre el programa con el que colaboran. Development Cooperation: We work in developing countries, helping the poorest places and their citizens in order to make the become the main figures or their own future. We focus on young people and women. Proyectos de cooperación al desarrollo en: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, España, Perú, Rumanía y Uruguay. EquiMercado, the Fair Trade. We all deserve a better future, so we support southern organizations by importing and commercializing their products.

The people We look after

Youth Employability The Adsis Foundation recommends a response to an urgent need: the unemployed youth at risk of social exclusion. For this, we recommend that the development of a program includes orientation, training, and mentoring in two key sectors in relation to our [Spain’s] labor market: services and logistics. We also propose a distinct and real design for each individual brand, through a process of labor orientation and development of key transversal competencies for their occupation. Testimonials   Jaouad. Centro Joven Paradoja (Madrid): "It has given me a range of opportunities to train professionally, find a job and to really make the most of my free time". Hanae. Centro El Carmel (Barcelona): "Once they accepted me on the course, I gave it my all and more. If you push yourself, you see the results in the end. I am convinced that I will be able to find a job". Cristina. Centro Joven Paradoja (Madrid): "Joining Adsis has given me a second opportunity. I have been able to finish my training and I know what I have to achieve this. Thanks to them, I now have a job and my personal life gets better every day".
