Chapter 1: Introduction Today I’m going to teach you about skiing. I think Skiing is a great hobby. You can go to a many different places to Ski around the world. I recently went to Utah with my cousin and my family to Ski. Skiing is a fun and exciting sport! The advanced skiers get to use poles.

Chapter 2: Levels There are many different skill levels in skiing and when I was in Utah I went to ski school to advance my skill level. When I was skiing in Utah I saw signs for ski runs that had a variety of difficulty levels. I asked our ski instructor what are the signs meant. Our instructor said they were to guide skiers to hills for just the right skill levels. I like that mountains have skill levels to help guide you around the ski runs.

Chapter 3: Hills When you are skiing you need to ski on just the right type of hill. When I was in Utah I needed to ski on Green and Blue hills, some were easy and some were medium hills . When you are higher in the Mountains it gets more challenging. Sometimes the hills are very steep at the top of the mountain!

Chapter 4 : Chairlifts Chairlifts are moving chairs that take you across the mountain. When I was in Utah I fell off a chairlift and it sort of hurt! Some chairlifts don’t have bars that keep us extra safe. I went on a chairlift without a bar and it was scary. When you are on a chairlift you half to put the bar down for better safety! Chairlifts are a great and easy way to help get Skiers around the mountain.

Chapter 5: Ski School Ski school is a skiing school for kids that don’t know how to ski. When I was in Utah I went with my cousin and my Sister. Our ski instructor took us to just right levels. You should go to ski school if you don’t know how to ski. Ski school is very simple and ski school is fun!

Glossary Ski school– a skiing school if you don’t know how to ski! Chairlift – a chair that takes you across the mouton. Instructor- a person that helps you ski. ~~Please feel free to include more words in the glossary if you’d like! Five is only the minimum!
