Info Since its beginnings in 1922, every piece of Dickies work wear has stood for the quality, toughness, and pride for American worker. Today it has grown to be the number one brand many people wear for work or as you may know for school.

Step #1 Went to there website Dickies.com and found where I can email them customerservice@dickies.com, I send them an email but I didn’t get a reply back. I also send an email to another email address that they had but I didn’t get a reply back either so I had to do something else to find out more about Dickies.

Step #2 I went back to there website and click on there privacy and policies which gave me some very good information about the different kind of stores that have there brand. Such as Kohl's, JCPenney and Macy’s.

Step #3 So my next step was to look for information about these stories and what they are like which brings me to this new website greenamerica.org. Then I scrolled down to department stores and found the three stores JCPenney, Kohl’s and Macy’s. I click in each one of them and found some great information about them.

Kohl’s -Kohl’s is one of the nations largest stores. They have failed to improve labor practices, coming under fire for using suppliers with reported labor law violations. -The NAACP gave Kohl’s an “F” grade for racism to African Americans and people of color. -They have also failed because of the unsafe working conditions in Turkey and four man have died because of the unsafe working environment -Human trafficking, no sick days and wages below the legal minimum

JCPenney -JCPenney is one of the most popular department stores in North America with over 1,ooo stores -Has been accused of selling jewelry with unsafe levels of lead which people in the factory are expose to -The NAACP gave JCPenney a “D+” grade for racism to African American and the color people -Human trafficking and wages below the legal minimum -Every day they work at least 15 hours straight with no brakes

Macy’s -We don’t have much of Macy’s because they were one of a handful of companies that declined the U.S. Department of Labor -Macy’s is not doing so great, Macy’s plans to cut 7,000 jobs which is 4 percent of its workforce. -Human rights are violated in Burma that’s why now the congress is trying to make it illegal to import garments from Burma into the United States. -And Macy’s also has jewelry containing unsafe levels of lead
