Merry Christmas & Happy New Years Greetings from Afghanistan. I am what we call a double digit midget now (less than 100 days). In fact on Christmas Day I will have approximately 87 days remaining. If all goes well, I will be home around 25-26 March 2010. Times going by pretty fast. We are finally getting Friday’s off now (mostly). I typically work 12-15 hour days. My boss allows us to get our gym time in during the work day, so that helps break it up. I spend a lot of time with my co-workers, so I am thankful for a great group of folks to work with here also. Thank you all for supporting my family and involving Sharon in office events. Her and the kids are making the real sacrifice, and I am thankful for there support in allowing me to do this. I was able to get on the Today Show with Matt Lauer and Al Roker recently, and the kids were able to see me on TV. They thought that was neat. I recently went on a humanitarian mission to an small refugee camp. It was a stark reminder of just how truly blessed we are as Americans. I am one of the Volunteer Community Relations (VCR) program coordinators and will let you now soon how you can get involved with humanitarian work here. It is this work that keeps drawing back to places like this, Iraq, and Haiti. Building the Afghan National Army Air Corp, my “job”, is just an added benefit. Enjoy the picture collage. God Bless, Chris
