What is WIPO? WIPO means World Intellectual Patent Organization. WIPO is the global forum (centre) for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation.

Where is WIPO? WIPO is one of the 17 specialized agencies of the United States of America. WIPO was created in 14th July 1967 and currently is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

Who are WIPO Members? Currently WIPO has 186 member states in the world including Iraq. Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Timor-Leste and Palestine are non WIPO members.

What are the Functions of WIPO? Encouraging creative activities of intellectual researchers. Promoting the protection of intellectual properties throughout the world.

What are the Steps to get WIPO Patent? 1. National Patent (PI number). 2. Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Then you can apply for WIPO

What are the Benefits of Having WIPO Patent? Your product can be commercialized under your name. Your product can be marketed and traded (exported to other countries).
