CHRISTIANITY 101 – THE BASICS “How to do Ministry”

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Assess Your Assets God created us for ministry – Ephesians 2:10 He created us with different personality types and interests He’s shaping our lives in Christ for ministry

Assess Your Assets God has gifted us for our assignment – 1 Peter 4:10-11 He has given us different talents and abilities – Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 These “gifts” are given to us for ministry – 1 Peter 4:10-11; Matthew 25:14-30 What assets has God given you?

Prepare For Ministry God has given us His Word to equip us – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work!

Prepare For Ministry God has given us leaders to prepare us – Ephesians 4:11-16 Leaders teach, inspire, and direct us in ministry Much of this preparation takes place at church and Bible study Hebrews 10:24-25

Get To Work! Make the most of every opportunity – Colossians 4:5-6 God presents us with many opportunities every day We have to be alert and make the most of them!

Get To Work! Don’t become weary in doing good – Galatians 6:9-10 There are all kinds of things that can discourage us We must persevere to the end, and we will be richly rewarded!
