AGE OF EXPLORATION “mySTORY book” A BOOK THAT WOULD HAVE COME IN HANDY FOR ALL THE EXPLORERS BACK IN THE DAY!

AGE OF EXPLORATION “mySTORY book” You have been given 15 terms that were very important during The Age of Exploration. Your task is to do create an online storybook so everyone can easily understand the terms that were important during that time period You will have the following in your book: 8 terms, their definition, a sentence for each term, and for eight of the terms a photo that represents the term.

AGE OF EXPLORATION ABC’S BOOKLET Some of these terms YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT! That’s ok! We will learn their meaning and importance next week. You can use the Google Chrome books to help you understand how they relate to The Age of Exploration by Googling the term and its relation to The Age of Exploration

AGE OF EXPLORATION ABC’S BOOKLET When you create your sentence it MUST BE IN YOUR OWN words. If you copy it directly from the Internet that is called plagiarizing and it will result in you getting a zero. THIS WILL BE A TEST GRADE. DO NOT DO THIS.

Rubric for The Age of Exploration mySTORY book Your book must have a cover page (with the title of your book AND A PICTURE that represents The Age of Exploration) Your book must have a Table of Contents page (so the reader can figure out which page each term is on) You must include EIGHT of the FIFTEEN terms in your book For EIGHT of the terms you are to include a PHOTO that is RELEVANT to the term Each term that is in your book you must include: the definition, a sentence you create that correctly represents the term in relation to The Age of Exploration (YOU CAN WRITE A SENTENCE THAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THAT WORD CAUSED/DID DURING THAT TIME PERIOD), and a title for each page. Example: Why Racism mattered during Age of Exploration GRADE BREAK DOWN Book cover: 10 points (Title and Picture RELATED TO AGE OF EXPLORATION) Table of Contents: 10 Points (MUST MATCH UP WITH ACTUAL PAGE TERM IS ON) YOU CAN HAVE A PHOTO IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUT IT ISNT REQUIRED Terms: 80 points Remember you are to pick EIGHT OF THE FIFTEEN TERMS (Each term must have a definition, a sentence YOU CREATED that represents the word and all terms MUST HAVE A PHOTO)

EXAMPLE PAGE OF AGE OF EXPLORATIONS “mySTORY book” Charlotte, A BIG CITY IN NORTH CAROLINA Definition: Charlotte is the biggest city in North Carolina and it was named after the wife of an English King during the 1700s.
