WHY IS HE FAMOUS? Earvin “Magic” Johnson was one of the most famous NBA players during the 1980’s by creating a new style of play called “Showtime” which was very fast and explosive. He played the Point Guard position for the Los Angeles Lakers and had a lot of success with them.

PERSONAL OPINIONS I believe that Magic Johnson is one of the most influential NBA players to ever play the game. This is because when he came into the league, he made his own dynasty with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the Los Angeles Lakers. I also think he is the most creative when it came to his style of play. During his time he would put on a show with his fancy passes on the fast- break and would make huge leads on the competing team.
