We have been looking closely at India. Welcome to Year 3’s Celebration Morning. We have been looking closely at India.

We started by locating India on the globe and in the atlas’ We started by locating India on the globe and in the atlas’. We now know its surrounding countries and oceans and that it is part of Asia.

We have made Indian flags and learnt what the colours and symbols mean.

The children have created some wonderful home learning projects.

The children have shared some beautiful artefacts.

We have learnt how to wear a sari and have been amazed by how beautiful Indian celebration clothes are.

What a beautiful sari!

Janelle taught us about the Tabla and let us try to play it!

We’ve learnt about Mehndi art and created our own designs!

We have made samoas, which we’d like to share with you this morning.

We also made delicious patties.

Maria in Y4 visited our class to teach us about traditional Indian dance.
