Introduction It is always important to have demand for a service/supply before you fully have the program running to avoid wastage through expiries. Sayana Press was introduced in Uganda in 2015 in ten districts. Presented the project to MoH MCH working group which is a decision making body. MoH wrote introductory letter to districts. Obtained buy-in from district leaderships and obtained entry points to the communities. Working with CHWs (VHTs) which is already existing structures in the communities. Communicating for method uptake Conducted formative assessment to gather information that guided development and implementation of the Social Behavior Change Communication intervention. Developed communication strategy based on the findings of formative research. Provider – Client communication: Produced leaflets and posters; and trained VHTs in Inter Personal Communication. Mass media: Developed and broadcasted radio spots and radio talk shows on 11 radio stations all with the purpose of popularizing the method and mobilizing clients.
