Circulatory and Respiratory Systems Mrs. Anna Ward Ridge Road MS

What is the function of the circulatory system? The circulatory system delivers oxygen and nutrients to cells and removes waste from cells. the waste product? Blood moves these materials to and from our body parts. The heart pumps the blood.

4 Parts heart pumps the blood. lungs give blood oxygen. blood vessels are tubes that carry blood. blood carries oxygen & nutrients to body cells.

Parts of the Circulatory System HEART: Muscular organ that pumps blood all around the body. Has FOUR chambers Made up of cardiac muscle

Parts of the Circulatory System LUNGS: The organ responsible for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide is your lungs and breathe out carbon dioxide (waste) from the body.

Parts of the Circulatory System BLOOD VESSELS: the series of tubes within the body which transport for our circulatory system There are 3 types of blood vessels: arteries, veins, capillaries

Parts of the Circulatory System BLOOD: a fluid in the body which delivers nutrients and oxygen to the body as well as removes carbon dioxide and other wastes Moves nutrients, oxygen, carbon dioxide types of cells that sit in a liquid called plasma Wednesday: Heart and Blood Stations

How do the respiratory and circulatory systems work together? The respiratory system brings in oxygen which the circulatory system transports to your cells.

These are super interesting and answers the two questions I get the most during this unit. Two Articles
