What is the definition of mission?

MISSION is… … the outworking of the knowledge of God, …

… in and through the life of a faith community, … CHURCH

… so as to join in with the purposes of God, … KINGDOM

… in giving loving attention to the needs of the world around us, … MISSION

… drawing people to the fire of God’s love, … EVANGELISM

… so that they may share with us in God’s life-giving mission to all creation.

MISSION is… in our BEING, in our DOING, and in our LIVING.

MISSIONAL LIVING

INTERRUPTERS! God in His Mission is constantly interrupting … the normal of flow events.

Jesus in His earthly ministry was constantly interrupting … business as usual.

The Holy Spirit inspires and empowers us to interrupt.

Being Missional is in our… PPt SLIDE 1 – Missional Opportunities - As we’ve said earlier, being missional is not an event or program or something that we compartmentalize as Christians or as church.

It’s at the centre of everything we do.

Our commitment and effectiveness to mission will result in transformed lives.
