Protect Workbook Password protects the file so that only users with the password can access it Limits structural changes, such as adding, deleting, or moving sheets Passwords cannot be recovered if lost Passwords can contain up to 255 characters and are case sensitive
Password protect a worksheet Assigns a password in order to edit the file The user can view the worksheet
RAND and RANDBETWEEN Functions RAND: generates random numbers RANDBETWEEN: produces random numbers and allows the user to specify the lowest and the highest number =RANDBETWEEN(100,200) Every time you open the spreadsheet or modify it, the numbers will change when using these functions
Shared Workbook Allows multiple users to make changes to a spreadsheet at one time Change History: allows the user to view any changes that were made by another user
Document Inspector Allows the user to search for hidden data (such as properties, comments, etc.)
Mark As Final Makes the spreadsheet so that is “Read Only,” which means that people can view it without making any changes Changes can be made if people click Enable Editing Discourages people from making changes to the spreadsheet
Sharing An Excel file can be shared to the cloud or sent through email
Track Changes Allows the user to view any changes that were made to a spreadsheet
Comments Allows users to insert a short note to a cell When a cell has a comment, a red triangle appears at the upper right hand corner of the cell
