Assignment 1 Facilitation of the Creative Process in a Group You will work as part of a small group to prepare and implement a creative thinking process. This should include unpacking, creative thinking - the divergent process and finally the convergent process. It should also include facilitation of the group dynamics, and vitally, the enforcement of the rules for divergent thinking together with winning the engagement of every group member. Each member of the group will separately facilitate their chosen aspect of the process, which will be individually assessed. During your 7 – 10 minutes of facilitation you should: demonstrate an awareness of the stage of the creative process you are facilitating show how to manage the dynamics of the group implement the rules of divergent and convergent thinking demonstrate the facilitation skills required to make such a session effective.

Assignment 2 Reflective Account of the Creative Process Following on from the facilitation in assignment 1, this assessment requires you to reflect on a number of aspects and : analyse the stage of the innovation process that it was part of, analyse the stage of the creative process you were part of and demonstrate a good understanding of the difference with respect to the whole group process: what went well, what went not so well and how it could have been improved with respect to your individual facilitation: what you learned and what you plan to develop as a result reflect on the “eat, wear, talk something different” exercises (include your report in an Appendix) and evaluate aspects of those experiences which could improve the outcomes of the more formalised creativity session.
